There’s been some activity with the issue of Fargo Public Schools dress code enforcement.

The Forum

If you have, or if your daughter, sister or friend has ever been “coded,” or if you have concerns about the FPS dress code and/or how it is enforced, please contact Kim Hyatt, a reporter from The Forum, Fargo, at 701- 241-5511.

Ms. Hyatt posted the following to the #IAmNotaDistractionFargo Facebook page today.

Hello,

I’m a reporter with The Forum and I recently met with Superintendent Gandhi to understand dress code policies and how he plans to address concerns noted in/by this group and students he has met with.

Any parent or student willing to speak on the record about their experiences with the dress code and what changes you hope to see in future policies, please reach out via DM or give me a call at (701) 241-5511.

Best regards,

Kim Hyatt

Update from FPS

On Nov. 6, 2018, I received the following from Fargo Public Schools Superintendent Rupak Gandhi:

We had our first round of discussions with students earlier this month and will be continuing the conversations with them when we meet in December. As for now, we have begun the conversations with principals and shared some of the standards you shared with us from other states to begin conversations around what is most appropriate for FPS. When we draft some language and bring it to parents for feedback, we will include you in that process.

If you would like to be included in the process, please contact FPS Associate Superintendent Robert Grosz at groszr@fargo.k12.nd.us or 701-446-1000.
