Supreme Court Poised to Overturn Roe vs. Wade
Women’s rights are about to take a nasty hit in this self-styled “Land of the Free.” The U.S. Supreme Court is poised to overturn Roe vs. Wade and take away the right to an abortion in this country.
You’ve probably read about the leaked majority decision by now. If you haven’t, search those words on Google and watch your computer explode. Or you can read all about it here on Politico, which first broke the story.
The #GOP likes to screech about activist judges, but I call BULLSHIT. It’s a group of activist and highly partisan justices that is making this egregious error possible, justices put in place by a man who didn’t even get a majority of votes in the 2016 presidential election with the aid of duplicitous, enabling Republican senators. Hypocrisy rules among them.
Never mind, they seem to say, that a clear majority of USA citizens support abortion rights and, therefore, Roe vs. Wade. Look away, they seem to say, as this illegitimate court usurps Congress’s lawmaking authority in overturning established law.
It won’t stop there. All day I’ve been listening to “experts” talk about how the corrupt GOP will push further, passing laws that make contraception illegal, too, state by state if necessary.
This has never been about life. It’s about controlling people and ruining lives. And keeping women subservient to a bunch of privileged white men. Of course, that’s what it’s been about throughout the entirety of USA history. And the Electoral College is keeping it that way.
Our system is horribly broken. And now thousands of lives are going to be horribly broken, too.

It’s actually worse than it’s being talked about.
A ‘silver lining’ might turn out that the GQP has just nailed their coffin shut.

This is also a bad day to be Susan Collins and she deserves all the misery being heaped on her.
How stupid of her to think that Kavanaugh wasn’t lying through his teeth.
From what I’m understanding, the whole notion of privacy is in jeopardy. If that’s true the interracial marriage and same-sex marriage are In danger.
I can’t imagine laws against the former, but I can easily see states outlawing same-sex marriage.
I hope that this was leaked by a clerk for one of the conservative justices and I hope the backlash is scathing and bipartisan.
