“Global Warmer”

Nothing like flaunting one’s ignorance, willful or otherwise.

“Stupid is as stupid does,” Forrest Gump’s mama used to say, but nobody does stupid quite like redneck North Dakotans confronted by the scientific realities of global warming and the intensifying climate catastrophe.

This is what we’re up against, geniuses who refute anything that results from scientific inquiry, experimentation and analysis.

To quote Spike from the late 1990s/early 2000s hit Buffy the Vampire Slayer, “This is the team that foils my every plan? I am deeply shamed.”

Perhaps they aren’t on the team, per se – they just support the crack team in Congress – but still. Deeply shamed.

Tragically, this is by no means restricted to North Dakota where, for the time being, I reside.

And, unfortunately, comeuppance will spill over to the thoughtful, reasonable and innocent unless we can curtail the influence of Bubbas like this one, not to mention the crooked politicians beholden to the fossil-fuels and related industries.
